THE GREAT MAN

In your dreams, you are a billionaire
Courted by the rich, powerful and the media
Gucci shoes, Louis Vuitton suitcases, you even have your own jet
Snap back to reality, you are so broke you can’t even afford the subscription for your blackberry set
But deep down you know this is not where you are meant to be
Deep down, you can feel a great man inside struggling to break free
And he tugs and pulls and screams “let me out”
But you don’t know how, so you can’t shout
So you cry on your bed and your hand hits a soft leather under your pillow
You look and it’s your bible, you are about to drop it but the great man inside says you shouldn’t let go
And then you start reading and the great man starts talking and He gives you an idea
It’s not easy at first but He keeps on encouraging you, He is like petrol to your fire
And then you wake up one day and you stare at your shoes and they are actually Gucci
You look around and you are actually courted by the rich and powerful in the city
You are travelling and your suitcases are actually Louis Vuitton
Then as you fly in your private jet, you seek the great man to say a word of appreciation
And you can’t tell the difference, you and the great man have become one
